Canon C500 in action filming a current project
There's no such thing as the perfect camera. It's best to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of each camera and pick the right one for the job.
More important than that though is the strength of the idea. Do you have a great idea? Is it well written, well thought out and perfectly plotted? These are the questions we obsess over.
These are the elements that really make storytelling come to life and truly capture the imagination.
Sony FS7 out on location
Well, it all depends on numerous factors. What type of shoot is it? What 'look' is required? How discrete do we need to be? How much space is there? What's the budget?
Previously, we've shot on a wide variety of cameras; currently with use a Canon C500 with an Atomos Shogun Inferno for all our 4K acquisition, and also a Canon C100 but it all really depends on your project.
We edit our projects on a Mac Pro with FCPX often shoot in ProRes RAW so are able to offer bespoke colour grading.
